I am delighted to welcome you all to share our journey in achieving NABL ISO 15189:2012 accreditation and our implementation of new test platforms.

Our lab accreditation has been especially valuable for International recognition and mutual acceptance of accredited test results in all the countries which are Signatories to the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation Mutual Recognition Arrangement. This avoids re-testing in those countries.

It took us nearly more than a year from the beginning of application to pre-assessment, final assessment and awarding of accreditation. Siddhi Poly Path Lab is now the First stand alone State-of-the-art NABL ISO 15189:2012 accredited laboratory in Nepal. This is certainly a moment of great achievement not only for Siddhi team but also beneficial to the doctors and all the patients. I would like to thank all the Siddhi team and especially our young, dynamic and perfectionist Managing Director, Dr. Bishwo Shrestha for his continuous effort and exemplary work.

Let me share with you that we have lately implemented new test platforms to expand new tests for the benefit of doctors and patients. We are excited about our new state-of-the-art fully automated Molecular diagnostic tool that does real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test for Mycobacterium tuberculosis and rifampicin resistance in just two hours, Human papillomavirus (HPV), Hepatitis C virus and many more in the same platform. Similarly HbA1c test is performed in Fully automated High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) platform and also in latest Capillary Electrophoresis method with traceability of the results to Diabetes Control & Complications Trial (DCCT). Yet another fully automated Hemoglobin electrophoresis done by HPLC method & Capillary Electrophoresis to detect Thalassaemia, Sickle cell diseases and their various forms. Serum Protein electrophoresis is also done in fully automated Capillary Electrophoresis method and has helped us in diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma, Monoclonal Gammopathy of Undetermined Significance (MGUS) and many other protein disorders. We are doing Tacrolimus test daily in our lab for the benefit of Kidney transplant patients on treatment.

We have gone Full automation in blood culture which has helped us to detect bacterial growth as early as 8 hrs after incubation. All isolates are identified and Antibiotic Sensitivity Testing along with Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) done in a fully automated instrument which is the First installation in Nepal.

Our legacy of improvement in quality  will continue and move forward to meet the growing demands and challenges and we will do our best. We have no competition and no   comparison with anybody except ourself.
